I want to be loved, but I don't want to because its selfish to want love. It's more of a personal issue, let's just say... I need someone who'll be there for me, more than a friend would. But saying that makes me feel selfish, so I don't know, i'm just confused.

Wanting attention and a crave for simply affection is not selfish. 83 It's in the human nature to want someone to be there for them every second of their life. I'm not saying this is what you feel I'm simply saying it's not selfish to want comfort and love. :> as a matter of fact, love is a great way to feel better about things.

Yeah, if you put it that way it seems so absolutely true. But the thing is, if I want the affection then how can I live without it? I've only started to recently feel what it's like to truely love someone, and because of my selfishness of it I've ended up being hurt, and hurted them.

It's just so human to want love, it makes me feel primitive.

Don't feel that way. That's simply love. You need to start out with opening up to them, to show them you'd trust them with just about everything. Don't try to start anything too quickly, for it could ruin a perfect relationship with them, whether they like you the same way or not. Because I have a crush as well, but he doesn't feel the same way for me. So I've settled with being his friend for now. If you don't feel like you can take 'just friends' right now, that's fine. Explain you'd like a serious relationship and ask if that's okay with them. If it's not they weren't very close with you and obviously they had no intention of spending much time with you. But if they ask to stay friends, then they might just be considering your offer. ;3
